Michael Hough (pronounced Huff) is a lifelong Maryland resident who believes in the founding principles of our country; limited government, individual responsibility, and lower taxes. He resides in Brunswick with his wife JoeyLynn, daughter Katelynn, and son Grant.
Following high school, Michael entered the United States Air Force and served as a Minuteman III Missile technician; he was stationed at F.E. Warren Air Force Base in Cheyenne, Wyoming.
Michael previously served as the legislative aide to Maryland State Senator Alex X. Mooney. He was also the campaign manager for Sen. Mooney’s successful re-election campaign.

During his time working for Sen. Mooney, Michael assisted in passing legislation to establish an address confidentiality program for victims of domestic violence. He also helped to pass legislation to update Maryland’s commercial code.
In 2007, Michael graduated from Towson University with a Bachelor’s degree in political science.
Michael is the Director of the Commerce, Insurance, and Economic Development and the Criminal Justice and Homeland Security Task Forces for the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC), the nation’s largest nonpartisan individual membership organization of state legislators.
